what is barre?

Every Barre class starts with a 5 minute cardio warm-up, upper-body weighted exercises and push-ups in the middle of the room, followed by a sequence of leg and seat work (can be done at the barre or on the floor) and core exercises on the floor. After each muscle is worked to fatigue, it is then stretched to create a long, lean physique. Barre utilizes small, precise movements and light weights are used due to the high number of repetitions.
